Jane is a master educator who opened Dunwoody Prep to fill a need in our community for a quality early learning center with a home-like atmosphere. Jane holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching and taught in the gifted and talented program. She has participated in more than 40 years of annual professional development.
Jane is proud of the reputation her school holds in the metro Atlanta area. She has built an amazing team at this small school which grew and grew yet remains the warm, nurturing program she dreamed of offering to Dunwoody families. Nothing thrills her more than having graduates return to visit Dunwoody Prep.
Jane, a native of Savannah, has called Dunwoody home for over 30 years. She and her husband, Bruce, raised their two (now adult) children in Dunwoody. Jane is a Pilates regular and loves to travel!
Edye joined the Dunwoody Prep team in the summer of 2015. Her early childhood education and experiences include a Bachelor of Science in Child Development, classroom teacher, NAEYC Validator, state of Georgia Pre-K Consultant, and serving as a Director or Assistant Director in both secular and faith based early learning centers. She has served on boards for both local and national early childhood organizations.
Jane and Edye met when Edye was the assigned NAEYC Validator for Dunwoody Prep’s Accreditation visit. Having remained in contact professionally for over 20 years, Edye was thrilled to join the team when a new administrative position was created. Being a part of this wonderful early childhood program has given her the opportunity to immerse herself professional in the community in which she lives.
Edye, originally from Memphis, has lived in Atlanta since 1990. She and her husband, Rob, were married in 2016 and live in Dunwoody. In addition to serving on the board of her synagogue, she enjoys playing mahjong, reading, cheering on the VOLS, and spending lots of time with her niece and nephew.
Savannah graduated in May of 2019 from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Development. She has been a teacher in the Kindergarten, Llamas, Owls, and Busy Bee classrooms since starting at Dunwoody Prep back in October of 2019. She has always loved working with children and cares deeply for the relationships she forms with them and their families.
She grew up in Alpharetta, GA and has lived in the Sandy Springs area for a few years now. When she is not working, she loves to read, play with her dog Tuxy, and spend time with family and friends.
Julie has been a part of the Dunwoody Prep family since its inception, over 31 years ago when her mother, Jane, started the school. Julie has served in a variety of capacities in the school throughout the years, including as a Junior Camp Counselor, Assistant to the Chef, Friday Afternoon Teacher, and part of the staff representation on the Parent Advisory Board.  After a career as a Public Defender in Atlanta, Julie decided make Dunwoody Prep her full time work Family.
Julie has called Atlanta home for over 30 years and enjoys cheering on the Dawgs in her spare time!
