Teaching Staff

Dunwoody Prep’s success is largely attributed to the quality of our staff. We believe that those whom we select to teach and interact with our treasured students should meet the highest standards. Our staff of talented, degreed and credentialed teachers surrounds the children with love and dedication and provides an exciting developmental curriculum that places Dunwoody Prep in a class of its own. We support our staff in their ongoing, annual professional development and are proud of our very low turnover rate.

Jane Newman

Jane is a master educator who opened Dunwoody Prep to fill a need in our community for a quality early learning center with a home-like atmosphere. Jane holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching and taught in the gifted and talented program. She has participated in more than 40 years of annual professional development.

Jane is proud of the reputation her school holds in the metro Atlanta area. She has built an amazing team at this small school which grew and grew yet remains the warm, nurturing program she dreamed of offering to Dunwoody families. Nothing thrills her more than having graduates return to visit Dunwoody Prep.

Jane, a native of Savannah, has called Dunwoody home for over 30 years. She and her husband, Bruce, raised their two (now adult) children in Dunwoody. Jane is a Pilates regular and loves to travel!
