ADMISSIONS

Dunwoody Prep accepts new students primarily at the beginning of the summer and at the start of each academic school year which is early August. We will accept children throughout the school year if space permits. Our formalized process has helped us insure that children are placed in the classrooms that best fit their developmental age, level and learning styles. For more information on admissions, please refer to our Admissions Process below.

New Students

Dunwoody Prep accepts new students primarily at the beginning of the June for our summer program and at the start of each academic school year which is early August. We will accept children throughout the school year if space permits.

Our formalized process of admissions includes an Admissions Visit for children who will be in a 2-year-old and older classroom.  This observation visit helps insure that children are placed in the classrooms that best fit their developmental age, level and learning styles. Please refer to our Admissions Process below for additional details.

Please note that all children enrolled in Dunwoody Prep and attending Admissions Visits must have current immunizations; religious exemptions are not acceptable.

Visiting Dunwoody Prep

Traditionally in January, February, and early March of each year we offer group tours for parents of children who will be 2-5 years of age for the upcoming school year. Group tours are conducted during the weekday mornings so that parents can observe a typical  day in our exciting, warm and nurturing program. Tour group sizes are limited, so it is necessary to have a reservation. Please complete the general interest form below to be invited for a group tour.

During the pandemic, we’ve shifted to an online model.  Please complete the general interest form below to be invited to participate.

If space is available throughout the school year, we will accept new students.  Individual tours are scheduled to accommodate families who are seeking to enroll mid-year. Please complete the general interest form below to be contacted about availability for your child today.

Waiting Pool

Dunwoody Prep has a waiting pool rather than a waiting list. A waiting pool is not ranked in any way which differs from a traditional waiting list. If space becomes available in a certain age group, we use our waiting pool to create as cohesive a class as possible. We look at birthdate, gender, learning style, personality, and other variables that change year to year and age group to age group.
There is no fee to be added to the Waiting Pool.

We are not able to predict the chances of ultimate acceptance; time in the waiting pool could take a few months, a few years, or just a few weeks. Please complete the general interest form below to be added to the Waiting Pool.

Please Note: Siblings of current and previous Dunwoody Prep students receive first priority when spaces are available.Â
